MDNPL: A Holding Company in Pure Typography
The challenge
MDNPL is a Warsaw holding investing in companies with Polish capital, with a focus on the games market. No products, no photography, no noise: the site had to project confidence with nothing but structure and type.
The build
A WordPress build that treats typography as the identity:
- Editorial type system pairing a serif voice with engineered spacing
- Chaptered structure: the thesis, the business model, the games market
- A restrained palette of ink, sage and off-white doing the brand work
The results
The site carried the holding through its establishment phase and has since been retired, which is what happens to good sites too. The build lives on here and in the archive.
Built today, it would ship as a static Orbit site: no WordPress to patch for a page that changes twice a year.
